Meredith Hileman, MBA, is Chief Executive Officer of Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG). She oversees strategic planning, growth, clinical service line development, and the group’s business operations, supporting more than 350 physicians and advanced practice clinicians across 50 specialties.
Meredith brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership, including senior roles within two of the nation’s largest health systems. She spent 15 years at Kaiser Permanente prior to joining Sutter Health in 2014, and became SWBMG’s first CEO in 2019.
She earned a BS in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from St. Mary’s College of California. She is a graduate of Sutter Health Leadership Academy and a Fellow of the Carol Emmott Foundation.
Robert Osorio, MD, is President and Board Chair of Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG). He oversees organizational governance and strategic direction while maintaining an active surgical practice in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery.
Dr. Osorio has been an attending surgeon at Sutter’s California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) since 1997. He has served as Surgical Director of Liver Transplant Surgery, Chair of the Barry S. Levin Department of Transplantation, and Chair of the Advanced Organ Therapies & Transplant Service Line. He has developed multidisciplinary programs for liver, pancreas, and bile duct tumors, and established a center of excellence in high-risk gastrointestinal surgery in partnership with the American College of Surgeons. A founding member of SWBMG, he served as its first President from 2003 to 2016. Dr. Osorio also served on the Board of Directors for CPMC and Sutter West Bay Region.
Dr. Osorio’s research spans islet allograft transplantation, fetal tissue transplantation, non-operative management of biliary leaks, prediction of alcohol-related recidivism after liver transplant, and artificial liver support systems. He has authored or co-authored 40 peer-reviewed articles and numerous book chapters and invited reviews. His work has contributed to advances in transplant medicine, hepatobiliary surgery, and multidisciplinary approaches to complex abdominal disease.
Dr. Osorio earned BS and MS degrees in bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego, and earned an MD at the University of California, San Francisco (USCF). He completed general surgery training, immunology fellowship, and abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at the UCSF Medical Center, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor in Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of multiple national and international surgical societies.
Karen Earle, MD, serves as Chief Growth and Development Officer at Sutter West Bay Medical Group. She directs recruitment, retention, onboarding, and network development, and chairs the Professional Affairs Committee.
Dr. Earle joined Sutter’s California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in 2005 as Medical Director of the Center for Diabetes Services and became Chief of Endocrinology in 2006. She later launched endocrine division at Sutter Pacific Medical Group and helped establish the endocrinology training program at Sutter’s California Pacific Medical Center, serving as Program Director and Associate Program Director. Within SWBMG, Dr. Earle has served as Chief of the Division of Medical and Surgical Subspecialties, a long-tenured member and now chair of the Professional Affairs Committee and a member of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Earle earned her MD from Yale Medical School, completed her internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, and conducted research in immunology and Type 1 diabetes. She continues to teach fellows and internal medicine residents at CPMC.
Nisha Patel, MD, is Chief Culture and Experience Officer at Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG). She oversees diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, leadership development, physician satisfaction, and patient experience.
Dr. Patel has served as SWBMG’s Chief Wellness Officer since 2021, leading organizational efforts to prevent burnout and advance physician wellbeing. She guides a multidisciplinary wellness committee, and has positioned SWBMG as a national leader in clinician wellbeing. She also serves as Medical Director of an obesity and metabolic health program within the Advanced Organ Therapies Department, caring for medically complex patients and improving their access to transplant.
Dr. Patel earned a Master's of Science from the University of North Texas and an MD from Texas A&M College of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Diego, and subspecializes in cardiometabolic health and obesity medicine. She is a nationally recognized speaker, an NIH-funded sub-investigator, and a mentor in the Med Page program.
Shilpa Shah, MD, serves on the Sutter West Bay Medical Group Board of Directors, bringing expertise in primary care, medical education, and community health.
Dr. Shah is an internal medicine physician and Medical Director of Pacific Primary Care. She also serves as Director of Ambulatory Education for the California Pacific Medical Center internal medicine residency, where she teaches and mentors residents. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Health Resource Center. Her work integrates clinical practice, education, and community-focused care.
Dr. Shah earned an MD and completed her residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine.
Gregg Jossart, MD, serves on the Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) Board of Directors, bringing surgical expertise and strategic insight. Dr. Jossart is a minimally invasive surgeon specializing in bariatric and foregut procedures. He has served as Director of Bariatric Surgery at Sutter's California Pacific Medical Center since the program's inception since 2005 and has maintained its status as a Center of Excellence for two decades. His clinical leadership and commitment to surgical quality have shaped bariatric services across the region and continue to inform SWBMG's priorities.
Dr. Jossart earned an MD at the University of Minnesota, completed his surgicalresidency at the University of California, San Francisco, and did his fellowhsip in laparoscopie surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Yvonne Cheng graduated from Occidental College with a BA in biochemistry. She earned her MD degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago and a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Cheng also received MPH, and PhD degrees in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley, with an emphasis in causal inference/machine learning.
While pursuing a PhD from UC Berkeley, Dr. Cheng served as Assistant Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UCSF. She was the Medical Director for the Diabetes and Pregnancy Program from 2010-214, the Fellowship Program Director for Maternal-Fetal Medicine at UCSF from 2010-2014, and as Associate Professor from 2012-2014. Dr. Cheng joined the Sutter West Bay Medical Group in 2014. She served as the Medical Director for the Diabetes and Pregnancy Program at CPMC from 2014-19, and the Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine program from 2015-19. In 2017, Dr. Cheng helped expand the Maternal-Fetal Medicine in-patient services from CPMC to Alta Bates Medical Center (ABMC), Ashby campus in Berkeley, and Dr. Cheng has been serving as the Medical Director for Perinatal Medicine at ABMC and as the Medical Director for the Perinatal Center Clinic since 2017. Dr. Cheng joined the Sutter West Bay Medical Group Board of Directors in 2019.
Dr. Cheng continues to purse perinatal outcomes research, with a focus on labor management, decreasing cesarean delivery, and racial/ethnic disparities. She has authored or coauthored over 110 peer-reviewed research papers, including publications in the New England Journal of Medicine, and Journal of American Medical Association, with collaborations nationally and internationally. She served as Associated Editor for Journal of Perinatology from 2014-2022, and she continues to serve as Peer Reviewer for the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Cheng is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Pacific Coast Obstetrics and Gynecology Society, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, Society for Pediatric and Perinatal Epidemiologic Research.
Liberty Jenkins serves on the Sutter West Bay Medical Group Board of Directors, contributing her expertise in neurology and clinical neurophysicology and supporting strategic direction for the medical group.
Dr. Jenkins completed her undergraduate Preclinical Medicine and her Master's in Physiology at the University of Cambridge, before receiving her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honors from the University of Edinburgh in 2000, one of only three graduates to receive this distinction. She graduated with a first-class degree in Physiology from Cambridge and was awarded multiple academic scholarships and prizes at both institutions. She was admitted to Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2003.
Dr. Jenkins completed six years of Specialist Registrar training in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology at the Oxford University Hospitals. She then undertook a clinical fellowship in Peripheral Nerve Disease at The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, before relocating to California with her family. From 2013 to 2014, she served as an ALS Research Fellow under Robert Miller, MD, at the Forbes Norris Clinic, before completing two years of Neuromuscular Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology fellowships at Stanford University.
In 2016, Dr. Jenkins joined the Sutter West Bay Medical Group as a neuromuscular neurologist and is currently co-director of the Forbes Norris ALS and Muscular Dystrophy Association Treatment and Research Clinic. Her primary clinical research interests focus on ALS and autoimmune neuropathies and myopathies. Her book, The Diagnosis of ALS, was published by Oxford University Press in 2019. She is the author of multiple book chapters and has an extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed publications, particularly in interventional clinical trials in ALS. She holds grants from both the ALS Association and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Her focus is on expanding accessibility to research trials for these patient groups.
Dr. Jenkins is also on faculty at Dartmouth and oversees Stanford University neuromuscular fellowship training. She serves on the Professional Affairs Committee of SWBMG and is a specialist advisor for several biotechnology companies in the Bay Area. She is deeply committed to patient care, particularly in the role of the multidisciplinary team in addressing the complex needs of her patients.
Ida Myoung, MHA, is Vice President of Operations at Sutter West Bay Medical Group, overseeing operational strategy and performance for a network of nearly 400 physicians across 50+ specialties.
With deep expertise in medical group and acute care operations, Ida specializes in optimizing healthcare delivery through integrated care models and process improvement. Ida has held senior leadership roles at NYU Langone Health, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Providence, leading initiatives to enhance efficiency, transform care delivery models, and improve patient outcomes. She is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration to improve access, quality of care, physician engagement and patient experience.
Ida holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Washington, and advanced certifications in healthcare quality and regulatory compliance.
Jamie DeGraw, MHA, is Chief of Staff at Sutter West Bay Medical Group, provideing strategic thought partnership and decision support to executive and physician leadership.
Jamie brings a depth and breadth of experience that includes operations, strategic planning, physician and practice acquisitions, grant writing, and financial management. His experience includes leadership roles in federally qualified health center operations as well as Strategy & Business Development and Finance at Sutter Health. Jamie has great relationship building skills and has developed an extensive network. He excels at partnering with physicians on strategic planning, business development, and change management.
Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
Mimi Lin, MD, serves on the Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) Board of Directors, contributing clinical insight and physician leadership to the group’s strategic direction.
With more than 20 years of practice, Dr. Lin has expertise in colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, and inflammatory bowel disease, among other conditions. She joined Sutter’s California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) as a neuro-gastroenterologist and became Medical Director of the CPMC Center for Neuro-gastroenterology & Motility. Dr. Lee joined SWBMG as Department Head of Gastroenterology & Motility.
Dr. Lin earned a BA in cellular and molecular biology from the University of California, Berkeley and an MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University, New York. She completed her residency and fellowship in gastroenterology at Sutter’s CPMC.
Guy Lubliner, MD, serves on Sutter West Bay Medical Group’s Board of Directors, where he helps shape organizational policy and strategic priorities.
Dr. Lubliner earned an MD from New York Medical College, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Washington University Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
