Epileptology

SWBMG Epileptologists provide advanced diagnostic and treatment options for a wide range of adolescent and adult epilepsies. Over the past decade, the expansion of epilepsy treatments has offered new hope to patients, particularly those whose condition is not controlled by standard antiepileptic medications.

Headache

At SWBMG, our physicians in the Headache Service line take a comprehensive, personalized approach to patient care, creating treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs. We offer a wide range of treatment options, including:

We specialize in the management of both episodic and chronic migraines, as well as tension-type headaches, cluster headaches, occipital and trigeminal neuralgias, post-traumatic headaches, facial pain, and a variety of other primary and secondary headache disorders.

For chronic migraines, occipital and supraorbital nerve blocks, SPG blocks, and trigger point injections are among the treatments we provide. Additionally, we offer Botulinum Toxin (Botox) injections as a therapeutic option. To further support migraine management, we prescribe devices for both acute and preventive treatments, including Cefaly, Relivion, eNeura, and gammaCore.

Movement Disorders

Vascular Neurology and Neurocritical Care

The Vascular Neurology and Neurocritical Care team at SWBMG is a highly collaborative and academically focused group committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of neurovascular and neurocritical conditions. Our services span multiple settings, including inpatient care units, an outpatient Stroke/Neurocritical Care clinic, Northern California’s only Mobile Stroke Unit, and the Sutter Telestroke service.
